wii u guide

so this is the guide to the wii u

the wii u is hacked so it loads (autoboots) custom firmware called isfshax and aroma, info is here:

isfshax | general guide | aroma

aroma is still in beta, to update it use the update aroma app. the wii u itself’s updates are blocked so they dont patch out the exploits. its unlikely theyll release a new update since theyre no longer supporting the console but just in case yk

the default user uses the default mii with the name “name”, i believe it can be changed in the settings. i have not set a nintendo network id yet bc its not my acct. online functionality should still work once you get that set up, since nintendo stopped supporting the console it goes through a third party network called pretendo

aroma’s settings can be accessed by pressing LB+dpad down+minus, as can many of the mod settings. to switch the gamepad and tv screen do dpad right+tv

to get the ftp info check the ftp mod’s settings. slc.bin, slccmpt.bin, seeprom.bin, and otp.bin are all os backups. the sd card is 512gb with 32gb set as the “sd proper” which is where it loads the mods from and ~448gb is set to act as a usb device to load games from (the wii u only has 32gb internal memory). allegedly the gamecube games dont work off the usb part so install those to the console’s memory. you can clear out the install folder for space since everything in there is already installed lol

to download wii u games (plus wii et al games officially released for the wii u) load nusspli, select download, and then go though its process (its p straightforward iirc). for homebrew use the cube icon one, just make sure it says its aroma compatible and not legacy

for other nintendo games (nes, snes, n64, gc, wii [idk abt wiiware tho], gba, ds, also msx and turbografx) use the app uwuvci. titlekeys can be found here. the guide for that can be found here. to install use nusspli and go to install. the nintendont is using a custom version called chrismmmod, so dont use its updater. roms can be found at vimms and rroms

ive made custom images for a couple of games bc its fun, theyre here

there are plenty of things i havent fucked with yet including custom themes, retroarch (emulator for other consoles), discord support, and more. most of those are in the homebrew store but retroarch stuff is still in development. the info thread is here but i havent looked through it that much lol

ofc if something breaks or whatever just lmk. you know where to find me lol
